Tammy Jean Hansard As told by her sister, Linda Foster Tammy was a beautiful young lady, inside and out. She was tall and slender with blue eyes and blonde hair. She loved life, family, sports and her cat, "Spaghetti" who was named after her favorite food. Her nieces and nephews adored her and she loved them dearly, often babysitting for them, taking them to movies and playing with them in the park. Tammy was 16 years old when she, her boyfriend and another young couple were returning from a trip to Browning. They had gone to look at a pickup for sale. It was after midnight and Tammy, who had been driving, traded with her boyfriend so she could rest. She went to sleep; her boyfriend missed a small curve and went into a ditch, hitting a culvert and flipping the car over. The two passengers in the back seat were thrown from the car and survived. Tammy's boyfriend had minor injuries. Tammy had no apparent physical injuries, however, she was unconscious when she arrived at the Liberty County Hospital. She was put on life support before being transferred by ambulance to Great Falls. She never regained consciousness. Tammy was an organ donor and eight of her organs went to help others live long and healthy lives. Tammy's cross is located approximately 10 miles west of Chester at Tiber, MT on the north side of Hwy 2. |
