Colton Andrew Larson

Sent in by his grandmother, Cheryl

Colton's grandmother, Cheryl, would be the first to tell you that Colton's heart was as big as gold. He had a very giving nature and would do anything for a friend. As a result, when Colton was killed, five people's lives were changed for the better. Colton was an organ donor. His "big" heart went to a nine year old girl in Illinois; this was her second heart transplant.

Colton was on his way home for lunch the day he died. He was working at an auto body shop approximately eight miles out on Farm to Market Road, west of Kalispell. The accident happened three miles from his house at mile marker 3.

Colton loved speed; he raced stock cars at Raceway Park in Kalispell. He loved go carts; radio controlled cars and snowmobiles as well as racing games on his Xbox and Play Station.

Authorities estimate that Colton was traveling close to 70 miles an hour into a curve. When he came out of the curve, he pulled down to get out of the way of an oncoming car. He hit the gravel and traveled for about forty feet before he yanked the wheel to the left and went nose first into the ditch. He flipped three and a half times.

His mom, dad and Grandma Cheryl have been keeping the cross decorated.

Colton left behind many, many friends and loved ones, including his seven week old son, Aydon Scott Larson.
