Henry Raymond "Blue" Whitford

As written by his sister, Tracy Galbreath

My brother loved to play the guitar and sing. George Strait was his hero but Blue was ours. He was such a magnetic young man; he drew people to him and never met a person he didn't like. Children were especially endearing to him; he had pet names for each one and he liked to tease them - boy, did he ever. He spent many happy, quality times with his nieces and nephews. His own two children, Cheyenne and Ty, were his pride and joy. Blue came from a large family. He was also the youngest so it was very hard for us to lose him. Being devastated by his passing was another blow to our family; our father was losing his battle with cancer and passed away just eight days later.

I don't know why our brother didn't receive a white cross. Just driving to Havre and passing through the intersection at Hwy. 87 and Hwy. 2, three miles west of Havre where it happened is hard, but it was worse with no white cross to help memorialize his passing. A white cross was never put up until a family member and her boyfriend made one and placed it.

We donated Blue's organs and helped some person in central Montana see again. I would like to meet the person just to see Blue's beautiful eyes; they changed with the weather or what he was wearing from hazel to blue or green.
